Floodplain Analysis

I support developers, engineers, and design teams across CA, TX, VA, MD, and AZ with floodplain analyses, including FEMA‑level creek studies and risk evaluations. My work varies from early‑stage risk screening through detailed design support, helping teams understand flood behavior, evaluate channel modifications, and integrate building pad elevations into site planning. My technical focus includes:

• 1D/2D HEC‑RAS modeling (steady and unsteady) for floodplain delineation, hydraulic structure assessment, and regulatory compliance
• Hydrology development in HEC‑HMS, including watershed characterization, rainfall‑runoff modeling, and event‑based simulations
• 2D rain‑on‑grid modeling using PCSWMM 2D to identify high‑risk flooding, evaluate overland flow paths, and quantify localized hazards
• Development of clear, defensible documentation for agency review, permitting, and stakeholder communication
